NPP stalwart, Eugene Boakye Antwi has mentioned that the proposed “Unite Plus Compact” agenda will focus on uniting the party, modernising its operations and strengthening the capacity of its members.
Mr Antwi explained the components of the agenda while outlining what he wants to change if elected General Secretary.
He said the first priority would be to bring different sections of the party together around a common objective.
“Unite is the political mission, is every tradition, every generation and every constituency around one purpose, and the purpose is to win 2028,” he said on Joy News.
He said the agenda would also move beyond simply administering the party and introduce greater use of technology in its operations.
“The M is to unite the party, the M is to nurture the party, the I is to innovate, modernise the way we do things,” he said.
Mr Antwi said he did not intend to simply manage the party’s existing structures.
“I keep saying that I’m not going to be a General Secretary who’s going to just manage the party. I’m going to modernise the party and use technology,” he said.
He said the final component would focus on training and capacity building within the party.
“The T is training, capacity building,” he said.
